On the 25th of April we were invited to participate in a consultation session on the development of a solar water heating NAMA concept for Belize.
It was great to see the interest and commitment of OLADE, the Latin american energy organization and the National Climate Change Office to bring together stakeholders with various GOB offices to work on the promotion of solar water heating on a national scale. Belize as a country can benefit greatly, following example show cases as Barbados, Jamaica and several other Caribbean countries.
Later on we participated in the EarthDay exhibit at UB Belmopan. The purpose was to expose the next generation to the conservation efforts in Belize, the dangers to various habitats & the work done various agencies. Also, introduce technologies in renewable energy products such as LED lights the benefits of SWH and Biogas!
